Now some of my friends are just across the road from the YWCA, Winner's Choice are known for their great trophies by all you sport fans. Our YWCA Facility

Our YWCA Buildings is open to the public for rental of rooms for your Function. Main Building has three rooms available for your event and Multipurpose Building has one large room and has a portable curtain to divide the room if needed. You may call the YWCA at 304.366.4480 or Bob at 304.363.0427 for more information.

Membership is your statement of support for the goals and programs of the YWCA-not a fee for services. Membership is open to any adult woman and to girls over 12 years of age wish to join. Participant membership is open to men, boys and children who may participate in programs and support the YWCA as Associates. The Mountain Heritage Quilters Guild New President - Lynda Sago. Quilters Guild is a non-profit organiation whose purpose is to promote quilting in Marion County and to help members with quilting through programs during regular meetings and at workshops. To encourage understanding, and appreciation of the art of quilting. To preserve the heritage of quilting in our community. Well, I need not say more but when it comes down to enjoying a time with your family, who could ask for anything more than coming to the beautiful City of Pleasant Valley and spending some time at the YWCA. We invite you and your family to come soon for a visit.

When you see the Wolford Construction Sign you will turn and you will first see the familiar RED YWCA LOGO on the front of one of our building. When you arrive in the front parking lot you will find that the main building houses our offices and class rooms for students whom are taking Bagpipe Classes with Ann Watson, Banjo & Guitar Classes with Don Sconish, Piano Classes with Sarah Carpenter, Yoga Classes with Ellie Synder, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Pre-K Dances with Misty and Mitzi Layne Tichenor, T'ai Chi and our Mountain Heritage Quilters. During the course of the year you will find other classes will be available. Having classes at the Y has turned the YWCA around both in attendance and finances and we plan to have a variety of new classes for all ages.

T'ai Chi begins in February 2011, a four-part session with Certified Instructor David Nutter.

The main building is also open to the public to hold your function: Birthday parties, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Graduation Parties,Church Groups, Business Meetings, Small Retirement Dinners, Women Groups etc. There is a rental fee and rooms must be reserved in advance of the event. Groups like the Travelers Club has just joined us monthly and we encourage you bring your group to the YWCA. You will know firsthand of events that are coming to the YWCA when you become part of the YWCA Family.

When you you drive around to the second parking lot you will discover the Multipurpose Building and this is where all the bigger events are held. For you who don't know where they are having all that fun, It's Line Dancers that meet every Thursday who are having a blast in our Multipurpose Building and for you who are going some place else, You are missing it. Bring your family, friends and groups and be apart of the Line dancing Community. You will be line dancing in short time.

So you heard that we teach banjo, guitar and piano but where do you have Recitals? They are held in our Multipurpose Building. We want to bring more musical events at the YWCA so keep in contact with Bob. Whether the music is Classical, Pop or Country we want your groups to come to the YWCA.

Karate Classes on Mondays and Wednesday held in the Multipurpose Building.

Where are all those people who had their Wedding Reception at the YWCA? They are bringing their family back to the YWCA and guess what they are telling them? You are right, "This is where we had our Wedding Reception".

The Multipurpose Building has been apart of our Community events for years and we are still having Anniversaries, Churches Groups, Class Reunions, Family Reunions, Fund Raisers, School Functions, Teachers Training, Company Events, Christmas Parties, Special Dinners, Large Retirement dinners and will continue to serve the public this way. There is a rental fee and rooms must be reserved in advance of the event. Call 304.366.4480 to have your Function at the YWCA.

Now that you know where we are located make the YWCA the number one spot to visit, bring your Friends and have your events at the YWCA. More than that become a YWCA Member to show your support for the YWCA and it's programs.

We may need to extend our parking lot to make room for growth but don't wait until then but come now and join the YWCA Family.

Our YWCA is an excellent venue!

I would like to see one day a YWCA Conference Center to be built on our grounds for Women Conferences and a place to have music events,drama, movies, festivals and other types of entertainment for the whole family. This is one way that we could strengthen the whole family when we have a venue where your family could have a great time together.

Something that must be mentioned and that is, we have a Mayor who has worked hard to make Pleasant Valley a better place to live. You probably spotted some of his footprints on the sidewalks and when the new dust-to-dawn streetlights come on, you can see them easily and we want to thank the Mayor and our city counsel for beautifying our City of Pleasant Valley.
